World Cup National Team Player Na Sang-ho Visits Hometown Damyang

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] National soccer player Na Sangho, who represented South Korea in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, visited his hometown, Damyang-gun, on the 12th.

Lee Byeongno, the governor of Damyang-gun, met Na Sangho, a native of Subuk-myeon, Damyang-gun, who visited the county office that day, and congratulated him by presenting a bouquet and local specialties.

In response, player Na expressed his gratitude by handing over a signed ball on site.

Player Na was a key member of the national team that achieved the round of 16 in the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup.

Governor Lee Byeongno said, "We feel proud and reassured to have Na Sangho, a native of Damyang who played a major role in reaching the round of 16 in this World Cup," and added, "We also extend our congratulations and thanks to Na’s family who supported him."

Player Na Sangho said, "I feel truly moved to receive such a warm welcome in my hometown Damyang," and added, "I will continue to be an outstanding player representing South Korea."

Meanwhile, Na Sangho, born in Damyang in 1996, attended Neungju Elementary School, Gwangyang Middle School, Kumho High School, and Dankook University, and is currently serving as captain of FC Seoul.
