Gwangju Buk-gu Hosts Year-End Concert Featuring Song Ga-in

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju announced on the 12th that it will hold the "2022 Year-end Concert with Buk-gu Residents" at 4 p.m. on the 15th in the multipurpose room on the 2nd floor of Buk-gu Sports Complex.


This event was prepared to comfort the residents who have gone through difficult times due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to deliver messages of courage and hope for the upcoming 2023 Year of the Black Rabbit.


The event will be hosted by announcer Jung Seyoon, and various performances of genres that everyone can enjoy, such as trot, orchestra, and traditional Korean music songs, are prepared.


In particular, invited singer Song Ga-in, the queen of trot and a graduate of Gwangju Arts High School, will perform popular songs such as "Han Manheun Daedonggang," "Mureumpyo," and "Bamchaeseo," delivering an emotional stage.


Additionally, diverse performances by local singers such as the fusion classical CNS Wind Orchestra, traditional Korean music singer Kim Geunhee, trot singers Ryu Kyung and Hose-ri, and folk & rock band Prologue will be held.


Admission is free, but only those with tickets can attend in person, and anyone can watch via live broadcast on Buk-gu Office's YouTube channel.


Tickets will be available for online advance reservation on a first-come, first-served basis from 2 p.m. on the 13th via Ticketlink, and offline tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 a.m. on the 13th at the 2nd floor of Buk-gu Cultural Center to Buk-gu residents who bring their ID cards.


Director Moon In said, "This year-end concert will offer a moment of relaxation while comforting each other after a tumultuous year," and added, "I hope everyone will carry messages of courage and hope for the upcoming Year of the Black Rabbit through this occasion for residents' harmony."
