[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Singer Lim Young-woong will hold a concert in the United States next year. This is interpreted as a move to explore overseas expansion based on his popularity in Korea.
According to his agency, Mulgogi Music, Lim Young-woong will hold the concert "I'M HERO in Los Angeles" at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles (LA), USA, on February 11 and 12, 2023. Tickets will go on sale at 3 PM local time on the 16th. The Dolby Theatre is widely known as the Hollywood venue where the Academy Awards (Oscars) are held annually.
Lim Young-woong successfully concluded the encore performances of his nationwide tour concert "I'M HERO" at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 10th and 11th, with over 36,000 fans in attendance. Opening with his self-composed song "London Boy," he passionately sang tracks from his full-length album such as "Rainbow," "Will We Meet Again," "I Really Love You," and "Our Blues."
He then performed beloved hit songs including "Not the Stairs but the Elevator," "Follow Follow," and "My Love Like Starlight," as well as the energized "Hero," drawing enthusiastic responses. In January, the concert will be released as a live performance on the OTT platform TVING, and in March, a theatrical version will be screened at CGV cinemas.
