[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Shinsegae Department Store's representative character 'Poovilla' is visiting Times Square store for the year-end season. Poovilla is a cotton ball-like character resembling a white bear created by Shinsegae, launched as a non-fungible token (NFT), and is a popular character among the 2030 generation, holding the largest number of holders among domestic NFT projects.

Times Square store announced on the 12th that it will attract customers by offering various attractions, from the Poovilla Universe NFT pop-up event to a 17-meter tall giant Poovilla balloon.

The Poovilla Universe NFT pop-up event will be held from the 22nd to the 31st of this month on the first floor of the Times Square store. Visitors can see various sculptures not only of the main character Poovilla but also Poovilla and friends resembling a fox, raccoon, and others. Guests can enjoy NFT images of Poovilla and friends and learn about offline benefits according to Poovilla NFT tiers, such as lounge access and valet parking vouchers.

On the Poovilla Society Discord channel, those who upload a receipt photo showing a purchase of over 100,000 KRW at Shinsegae Department Store by the 15th will receive, on a first-come, first-served basis for 160 people, two tickets to watch Avatar 2 in 3D at Yeongdeungpo CGV and a combo set.

A 17-meter tall giant Poovilla sculpture will be installed in the main entrance plaza of the Times Square store until the 31st of this month. To celebrate Christmas, the Poovilla balloon is adorned with a blue pointed hat and cape to add to the viewing pleasure.

On the connecting passage between the 3rd-floor fashion and living halls, visitors can enjoy the view of Puranos City. Puranos City is a fashion city appearing in the Poovilla Society universe where Poovilla meets other Poovillas for the first time in its life. To commemorate this Poovilla event, the streets of Puranos City are decorated with a Christmas atmosphere to enhance the year-end mood.

Poovilla figure giveaways and mobile app prize events will also be held. From the 16th to the 31st, customers who purchase a total of over 200,000 KRW and click to enter the event within the mobile application will be entered into a draw to win a 5-don pure gold Poovilla figure and a Poovilla goods set. Customers who purchase over 100,000 KRW on the day can present their receipt at the store-wide giveaway event to receive a Poovilla figure on a first-come, first-served basis.
