On the 9th, the KCTU Cargo Solidarity conducted an on-site vote among all union members to decide whether to withdraw the strike, and announced that more than half of the voters supported ending the strike.
According to the Solidarity Gyeongnam Headquarters, 60.24% of the participating Gyeongnam union members voted in favor of withdrawing the strike, 32.82% opposed it, and 1.94% were invalid ballots.
Since the 24th of last month until this day, the Cargo Solidarity has engaged in collective transport refusal actions, demanding ▲abolition of the Safe Freight Rate System ▲expansion of the Safe Freight Rate System to all vehicle types and cargo items ▲expansion of labor basic rights ▲guarantee of cargo workers' rights.
According to the overall union members' vote results, the Solidarity's general strike has ended, and the strike by the Gyeongnam Construction Machinery Branch and Construction Branch under the Construction Union, which joined the sympathy strike on the 8th, has also come to an end.
