Gurye-gun, Dream Start Children Receive International Lions-Yeosu MBC Youth Volunteer Award

[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on November 29 that a child using Dream Start received the Excellence Award in the individual category at the 'International Lions-Yeosu MBC Youth Volunteer Award.'


The Youth Volunteer Award, hosted by the International Lions Club 355-B3 (Eastern Jeonnam) District-Yeosu MBC, is a public service project aimed at discovering local youth who practice sharing and filial piety through self-sacrifice and volunteering, and promoting neighborly love.


Jung Min-gu, the award recipient, is a child using Dream Start who, despite difficult family circumstances, has not given up, helps his elderly grandmother diligently, lives cheerfully, and is exemplary at school, earning the Excellence Award in the individual category of the Youth Volunteer Award.


Jung Min-gu said, "I am happy to receive the Youth Volunteer Award, and I will continue to help those in need and be a person who volunteers after entering middle school."


County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, "We will continue to discover youth who serve as role models for local residents, pay attention to marginalized groups in the community, and actively participate in neighborly love and sharing movements."
