[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Cargo Solidarity Busan Headquarters made a decision to disband the rally without a vote from the union members.

On the 9th, around 10:30 a.m., while the vote on whether to withdraw the general strike was underway, the Cargo Solidarity Busan Headquarters decided to disband first regardless of the voting results and communicated this decision to each branch.

Union members who were at Busan New Port and other locations left the site and returned to their work, and although there was some opposition from a few union members, there were no significant conflicts.

The Busan Headquarters reportedly made the disbandment decision because they judged that asking union members to vote on whether to withdraw the strike was an attempt by the leadership to avoid responsibility and shift it onto the members.

The Cargo Solidarity conducted voting at each regional headquarters until 11:10 a.m. that day, and based on the majority opinion of the participating union members, decided to withdraw the general strike.

Among the 3,575 union members who participated in the vote, 2,211 votes (61.84%) were in favor of ending the strike, 1,343 votes (37.55%) were against ending the strike, and 21 votes (0.58%) were invalid.
