[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyoon] On the 9th, Dongkuk Steel Group announced a total of 9 promotions and 4 new appointments in its personnel reshuffle, including the promotion of Jang Seon-ik, the eldest son of Chairman Jang Se-ju, from Managing Director to Executive Director.

Dongkuk Steel stated that in the regular executive personnel reshuffle, Managing Director Jang Seon-ik was promoted to Executive Director and appointed as Head of the Headquarters Purchasing Office. A Dongkuk Steel official said, "Based on a performance-oriented personnel policy, we focused on 'preparing for the future' to solidify the foundation for continuous performance creation and proactively respond to the uncertainties of the complex economic crisis and rapidly changing internal and external management environment."

Choi Sam-young, Executive Director, who has experience leading facility investment planning and stabilizing major Dongkuk Steel plants, was promoted to Vice President and simultaneously appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing the company's business operations. He joined Dongkuk Steel in 1997 and has served as Head of Facility Investment Planning Team, Director in charge of production at Dangjin Plant, Managing Director in charge of section steel production at the Section Steel Business Division, Managing Director of Pohang Plant, and Executive Director of Incheon Plant.

Intergis, Dongkuk Steel's logistics affiliate, has continued its performance growth this year following the previous year, and under the policy of maintaining a stable management system, promoted a total of 2 executives. IT affiliate Dongkuk Systems implemented 1 executive promotion to prepare for the future.
