Silla University students are appreciating artworks at the '2022 Liberal Arts Education Achievement Sharing Conference'.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Silla University held the '2022 Liberal Arts Education Achievement Sharing Conference' over two days on the 7th and 8th.
This event was organized by the College of Liberal Arts Curriculum at Silla University to share the achievements of extracurricular programs operated throughout the year with campus members and to enhance understanding and interest in liberal arts education.
The sharing conference was conducted with an on-site exhibition held at the Humanities Building on campus, along with the use of a metaverse platform to allow students to share their achievements in a virtual space.
About 250 students viewed manuscripts, activity logs, portfolios, lesson plans, and selected works from contests related to the extracurricular programs, and appreciated works produced in liberal arts courses.
Lee Su-hyun, a third-year student in the Department of Police Administration, said, "This sharing conference allowed us to freely view the exhibition both on-site and in virtual space and to openly communicate difficulties and opinions, which changed the prejudice that achievement sharing conferences are boring and became a good opportunity."
Kim In-hyung, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts Curriculum, said, "This was the first attempt at an achievement sharing conference using a metaverse platform, and seeing our MZ generation students take interest and actively participate, enjoying the exhibition, I feel proud that we have created a new communication channel with the students."
Dean Kim also stated, "To advance liberal arts education, we will engage more with students and discover and share various excellent cases."
