[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwanju] Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital opened the Soha Screening Center in Soha-dong, Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi Province on the 8th and held an opening ceremony.
The Soha Screening Center is responsible for promoting health in the southwestern metropolitan area beyond the local community through precise examinations by state-of-the-art equipment and top-level medical staff in Korea. Until now, Gwangmyeong lacked a university hospital, making it difficult to expect university hospital-level medical services for health checkups, but with the opening of the Soha Screening Center, this gap can now be filled.
The Soha Screening Center, as a university hospital screening center, has the largest scale in the southwestern metropolitan area with an area of 2,579㎡ (approximately 600 pyeong). Specialists from five departments, including Radiology and Gastroenterology, are stationed to provide precise examinations and consultations. The medical staff responsible for screening and examinations will be continuously expanded in the future.

Also, all examinations can be conducted within the center, and through close collaboration, various tests such as upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy can be performed simultaneously on the same day. A RFID tag system for each examinee has been introduced to minimize the examination route, establishing a smart health system optimized for customer convenience.
As a university hospital screening center, it is also advantageous that if abnormal findings are detected, linkage to medical treatment is possible. By connecting accurate diagnosis and outpatient care, patients can receive rapid treatment and precise management for diagnosed diseases, enabling future-oriented health management. The Soha Screening Center plans to lead future health management trends by utilizing cutting-edge information technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence (AI).
