[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Seogwipo Fire Station of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province (Chief Kim Ji-hyung) announced on the 9th that it conducted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training for about 20 employees of the Seogwipo City Sports Council at the Seogwipo Fire Station Fire Safety Experience Classroom on the 7th.
This training was organized to enhance emergency treatment skills for officials of the Seogwipo City Sports Council, who are active in promoting the health of residents through regular physical activities, and to improve survival rates by enabling prompt response in emergencies such as cardiac arrest.
The training content included easy-to-understand practical sessions on how to report incidents when a patient occurs, CPR methods, and the use of automated external defibrillators.
Kim Ji-hyung, Chief of Seogwipo Fire Station, said, “If everyone learns the correct CPR techniques, anyone can save precious lives,” and added, “Since the ability to perform emergency treatments such as CPR is crucial in emergency situations, we will continue to promote ongoing CPR education.”
