Changwon Municipal Arts Troupe Year-End Concert to Be Held at Seongsan Art Hall on the 22nd

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will hold the 2022 Year-end Concert on the 22nd at 7:30 PM at Seongsan Art Hall Grand Theater.

At this year-end concert, about 200 members of the Changwon Municipal Arts Troupe, including the Changwon City Symphony Orchestra, choir, dance troupe, and boys and girls choir, will perform under the direction of Kim Geon, music director and permanent conductor of the Changwon City Symphony Orchestra. Soprano Seo Seon-young, who is internationally recognized and from Changwon, and trumpeter Ahn Hee-chan will also appear on stage.

The performance will begin with the year-end celebratory dance "Shaman," choreographed by Park Eun-jung, head of the municipal dance troupe, followed by the grand performance of Offenbach's overture by the symphony orchestra to open the show. Then, the boys and girls choir will perform Kim Jun-beom's "Dreamer" and the Israeli folk song "Hava Nagila," followed by a trumpet solo by Ahn Hee-chan performing "Arban's Carnival of Venice & Ennio Morricone's Gabriel's Oboe."

In the middle of the performance, the symphony orchestra will play "Grand Pas de Deux" from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker. Soprano Seo Seon-young will sing "Amici, ben trovato" from Verdi's opera Sicilian Vespers and "Love Takes Wing on Rose-Colored Wings" from the opera Il Trovatore, then perform a duet "You Raise Me Up" with Ahn Hee-chan.

In the final part of the performance, the symphony orchestra and choir will perform "March of the Toreadors and Chorus" from Bizet's opera Carmen, followed by Leroy Anderson's Christmas Festival to conclude the day's concert.
