Sono International Opens Snow Theme Park 'Snowyland'

Snowy Kids and Racing to Sledding Facilities Sequentially Open

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Sono International announced on the 9th that it will open Snowyland, the largest snow theme park in Korea.

Snowyland is a theme park located in Vivaldi Park, Hongcheon, Gangwon Province. It has attracted attention as a space where people of all ages can enjoy various winter play facilities, including fun snow sledding.

With this opening, visitors can freely ride sleds that evoke childhood memories, from Snowy Kids (single-person plastic sledding area) to 6-person rafting.

The sledding facilities include Snowy Kids, Snowy Mini, and Snowy Racing. Snowy Racing is Korea's first 30-degree angle slide, designed to let visitors experience the thrill and excitement of skiing and snowboarding while sledding.

Sono International plans to sequentially open sledding facilities including Snowy Coaster, Snowy Rafting, and Snowy Tornado. Snowy Coaster is the longest sledding attraction in Korea (250m), where multiple people hold onto single-person tubes and slide down together.

Snowyland's operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, night operations will also be available from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

A representative from Daemyung Sono Group said, "To celebrate the opening, we will run a promotion offering up to 38% discount on admission tickets across all channels including social commerce and open markets until the 11th."
