Performance Culture and Arts Heritage Preservation and Utilization Systematized

Six organizations related to performing arts and culture are establishing a cooperative system. These include the National Intangible Heritage Center, the National Gugak Center, the National Theater Company of Korea, the Asia Culture Center, the National Theater of Korea, and the Arts Council Korea. On the 9th, they will sign a business agreement at the National Theater Company of Korea to 'collect and preserve performing arts cultural materials and activate joint services.' Going forward, they will engage in various exchanges and cooperation for the preservation and utilization of performing arts cultural heritage. This includes sharing archives in the performing arts field, as well as exhibitions, education, research, policy development, and joint services. To operate archives that serve the public interest, they will improve policies and systems, and enhance the quality of approximately 440,000 records on the integrated search platform of the performing arts archive network, which was launched in 2018.
