Age-specific charts, more detailed music genres
Personalized charts tailored to individual preferences
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Genie Music unveiled an updated version of the Genie platform on the 9th. The existing real-time, daily, and monthly popular charts have been expanded into various formats. A feature allowing users to directly select the order of the charts according to their preferences was also introduced.
Genie Music analyzed customer big data and introduced 'Age-specific Charts' segmented from teenagers to people in their 50s. In the 'Latest Release Chart,' the chart aggregation period was divided into 1 week and 4 weeks after release to better reflect the popularity of newly released tracks. The 'TOP 200 Chart' was also subdivided into real-time, daily, weekly, monthly, and cumulative charts based on the aggregation period. The 'Genre Chart' and 'Era Chart' were further segmented. Chart viewing according to personal preferences was improved for greater convenience.
The newly introduced chart through the update is the 'My Listening Chart.' It analyzes personal music listening data and creates a chart of 180 songs per month for all the music listened to from the first day of using the Genie service until now. By using the newly provided 'Chart Order Setting' feature, users can select up to four charts from a total of 19 types, including age-specific, latest release, and genre charts, and arrange them in the desired order.
