Seoul City "Now Apply for General Civil Complaints via 'SeoulTalk'"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 9th that it has expanded the service scope of the KakaoTalk chatbot 'Seoultok' to allow users to easily report daily inconveniences.

Accordingly, starting from today, in addition to on-site complaints such as illegal parking reports and quarantine requests, general complaints such as simple suggestions or inconvenience reports can also be submitted through Seoultok. Users need to type '민원 신청' (Civil Complaint Application) in the Seoultok input box and then select '건의 및 불편 민원 신청' (Suggestion and Inconvenience Complaint Application). After verifying the mobile phone number and name and entering the details, the complaint is registered as a Seoul City response center complaint through the 120 Civil Complaint System. The processing results can be checked on Seoultok.

Seoultok, which began operation on February 1, 2020, is a service that can be used immediately by searching for 'Seoultok' among KakaoTalk friends and adding the channel. It provides access to 550 types of administrative information in 120 consultation fields such as transportation, administration, welfare, environment, economy, culture, safety, and housing, 54 types of on-site complaints, public service reservations, library information, and online learning services. As of the end of November, the number of subscribers has exceeded 350,000.

Lee Hye-kyung, Director of Digital Policy at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, said, "In 2023, we will focus on expanding information related to pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, and welfare for middle-aged and older adults, and advance the service into a lifestyle-oriented customized service."
