President Yoon's Approval Rating Drops 0.4 Percentage Points to 35.1%
58.4% Dissatisfied with 20s Presidential Election Results

[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Public opinion is evenly divided over the government's issuance of a work commencement order in response to the Cargo Solidarity's collective transport refusal.
According to a public opinion poll released on the 9th by Media Tomato (conducted by wireless ARS method over three days from the 5th to the 7th, targeting 1,005 adults aged 18 and over nationwide at the request of News Tomato), 44.2% of respondents supported the government's work commencement order against the Cargo Solidarity, while 46.5% opposed it. Those who answered that they did not know accounted for 9.3%.
In particular, among respondents in their 40s, opposition was highest at 62.8%. Conversely, support was highest among those aged 60 and over, with 56.2% in favor.
Among conservative respondents, support was 76.3%, while centrists showed 42.9% support, and progressives 17.0%.
Regarding the West Sea government official shooting incident, 52.0% of respondents agreed with the claim that it was political retaliation. Those who sympathized with the claim of a fabricated defection accounted for 38.2%.
Regarding the results of the 20th presidential election, 58.4% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction, while 34.1% were satisfied. Among respondents who said they voted for President Yoon, 65.4% were satisfied, while 26.7% were dissatisfied. However, in this survey, 42.4% said they voted for President Yoon Seok-yeol, who won the last election, and 48.7% said they voted for Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, showing a difference from the actual election results.
President Yoon's job performance recorded 35.1%, down 0.4 percentage points from last week's survey. Negative evaluations rose by 0.1 percentage points to 62.7%.
