[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is operating a job experience program utilizing herbal medicine and berries.
The job experience program, started on November 16 by the Sancheong-gun Berry Business Group, will run until the 18th.
The program, aimed at 280 students from local educational institutions, was designed to help students broaden their knowledge of various occupations and discover their interests.
Students participating in the program experience various activities such as making berry natural dye handkerchiefs (fashion stylist) and making Christmas berry drinks and taking photos (food creator).
In particular, berries (mulberries, strawberries, bokbunja, blueberries, etc.), one of Sancheong-gun's local industries, are actively utilized in the experience events to widely promote the excellence of the local industry and help increase farmers' income.
One student said, "Through the activity of making berry natural dye handkerchiefs, I became interested in the occupation of a fashion stylist," adding, "I feel proud thinking about making the handkerchief and giving it to my parents."
A county official said, "We will continue to operate job experience programs in cooperation with educational institutions and provide high-quality experiential education programs," adding, "We will also strive to actively promote the excellence of Sancheong-gun's berry local industry through this."
