2021 Gyeongnam Investment Companies Appreciation Day

Raised 6.1759 Trillion KRW, Thank You for Your Investment! Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, is expressing gratitude and encouragement to the companies that have invested in Gyeongnam Province.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gyeongsangnam-do commemorated the 2022 Gyeongnam Investment Companies Appreciation Day on the 8th at the provincial government’s main conference room.


The ‘Gyeongnam Investment Companies Appreciation Day’ was established to boost the morale of investment companies actively continuing their business activities through new investments by awarding plaques of appreciation and to encourage continuous investment activities.


On this day, the province presented plaques of appreciation to 11 investment companies with high new employment creation and investment fulfillment rates, requesting their continued contribution to investment and job creation.


The selected companies are ▲Taechang ENG ▲Oseongsa ▲Allnys ▲Malgeunnaeil ▲Sebang Battery ▲Arasoft ▲Asan ▲Elf System ▲Almek Korea ▲Daewoo Logistics ▲Samgang M&T.


According to the province, these companies have created a total of 311 new jobs since signing their investment agreements.


Daewoo Logistics invested 21.4 billion KRW in the Ungdong Back Area within the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone and plans to build a smart logistics center capable of generating high added value, hiring about 200 new employees.


Oseongsa invested 72 billion KRW in the Changwon National Industrial Complex to establish an assembly facility for home electronics and has employed a total of 26 people so far.


On this day, Gyeongsangnam-do announced that it signed a large-scale investment agreement with SCM, Jigusarang, and RMA, involving an investment scale of 185.9 billion KRW and the creation of 207 new jobs.


Through this agreement, SCM decided to invest in Gyeongnam to build a large-scale manufacturing plant for ship cutting and processing parts in the Sadong-myeon area of Geoje.


They plan to invest 48.3 billion KRW on a 34,039㎡ site and hire about 33 new employees.


Jigusarang will invest 123 billion KRW and create 134 new jobs by establishing production facilities for new technology energy storage devices in the Uiryeong area.


RMA secured a 6,612㎡ site in the Changnyeong area, investing 14.6 billion KRW to build manufacturing facilities for aluminum parts for electric vehicles and will hire 40 employees.


Gyeongsangnam-do achieved an investment attraction performance of 6.1759 trillion KRW as of the end of November this year.


Going forward, the province plans to systematically establish professional personnel and systems for investment attraction and maximize investment attraction through aggressive promotion of Gyeongnam’s exceptional investment incentives and network formation.


Governor Park Wan-su said, “Attracting many companies and actively continuing corporate activities are the most important factors for regional revitalization,” adding, “As Gyeongnam is becoming a new hub for strategic industries such as defense and aerospace, we will support corporate activities so that business managers can successfully settle.”
