“Leading Sharing Activities” … Daesung Energy Selected as ‘Community Contribution Recognized Company’ for 3 Consecutive Years Daesung Energy Headquarters.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-sun] Daesung Energy was recognized for its contributions to various social contribution activities for the local community on the 8th and was selected as a ‘2022 Local Social Contribution Recognized Company’ for the third consecutive year.


The Local Social Contribution Recognition System is a program jointly operated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare to discover and acknowledge companies that have consistently carried out social and environmental contribution activities in local communities.


This year’s recognized companies were selected through fair and objective evaluations based on 20 indicators including Environment Management, Social Contribution, and Governance. Daesung Energy received the highest grade in Environment Management, Social Contribution Impact, and Governance.


Daesung Energy has been steadily practicing various social contribution activities at the corporate level every year in cooperation with several local non-profit and social welfare organizations such as the Korean Red Cross and the Volunteer Capacity Development Institute. The child abuse victim support project, a matching grant sponsorship program by employees, was recognized as a representative social contribution program.


Yoon Hong-sik, CEO of Daesung Energy, said, “Despite difficult internal and external circumstances, we feel proud to be recognized as a Local Social Contribution Recognized Company for three consecutive years through labor-management cooperation for activities benefiting the local community. All employees of Daesung Energy will strive to fulfill social responsibilities and lead sharing activities in the region despite challenging conditions.”
