Jindo-gun Saemaeul Association and Others Share 1,200 Kimchi Cabbages for Kimjang
[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Namjoong] A “Sharing Love’s Kimchi Making” event for vulnerable groups was held in Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do.
On the 5th, about 100 people including members of the Jindo-gun Saemaul Association, reserve force commanders, and full-time soldiers carefully prepared 1,200 heads of kimchi.
They made delicious kimchi for the underprivileged who have difficulty making kimchi in winter, delivering warm affection to their neighbors.
In particular, the Jindo-gun Saemaul Women’s Association and leader members gathered their hands several days in advance to make kimchi seasoning for the preparation of 1,200 heads of kimchi.
The Jindo-gun Saemaul Association said, “Although we were covered in red seasoning in the cold weather, we gifted love’s kimchi so that 450 underprivileged households in the area could have a warm winter.”
The Jindo-gun Resident Welfare Division said, “We hope the volunteers’ devotion will add warmth to the local community during these suddenly cold days,” and “We will continue to hold sharing events for underprivileged neighbors in the region to spread a culture of warm sharing.”
