SD Bioscience Signs Export Contract for Hybrid Batteries to Singapore

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] SD Bioscience Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Seolwoong) announced on the 8th that it has signed a hybrid battery supply contract with Singaporean company MBS Business Solutions Pte. The contract amount is approximately KRW 1.34 billion.

This contract is a sample test order consisting of small, medium, and electric bicycle batteries. Upon completion of the test, it is expected to lead to a substantial main order in the future.

A company official stated, “At the upcoming extraordinary general meeting, the company plans to add business objectives related to the hybrid battery field, demonstrating a strong commitment to new business. Since this field is a high value-added business combining lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors, it is expected to significantly contribute to sales growth and profitability.”

Earlier this month, SD Bioscience signed an exclusive contract with BK Dongyoung Tech, a company specializing in hybrid battery development and manufacturing, for development, manufacturing, and overseas SOLID METAL battery and renewable energy platform businesses, thereby securing development and manufacturing capabilities for hybrid batteries and renewable energy businesses as a priority.

The exclusive rights include next-generation energy storage businesses and renewable energy platforms such as ESS storage devices, hybrid supercapacitors, solar streetlights, power banks, and battery packs produced and developed by BK Dongyoung Tech.

Currently, SD Bioscience and BK Dongyoung Tech are jointly expanding their sales networks in Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, and the Middle East region. Both companies plan to maximize sales through overseas export contracts in the future.
