On the 8th, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency held a joint labor-management ceremony to announce a new vision and strategy in celebration of its 35th anniversary.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA), under the Ministry of Employment and Labor, held a vision and strategy proclamation ceremony on the 8th, attended by labor-management representatives, executives, and citizens both online and offline.
On the day of the ceremony, held to celebrate the 35th anniversary of its founding, KOSHA announced its determination to realize the government's serious accident reduction roadmap and to leap forward as the best specialized institution for industrial accident prevention with a new vision and strategy.
The ceremony began with a commemorative speech by Chairman An Jong-ju and continued with congratulatory remarks from KOSHA Labor Union Chairman Hwang Dong-jun.
KOSHA declared its mission to "create safe and healthy workplaces that contribute to the lives of the people and the development of the national economy."
Along with the screening of a vision video aimed at becoming the best specialized institution for industrial accident prevention working with the public, a joint labor-management resolution was adopted, and four major strategies were announced.
At the ceremony, KOSHA added significance to the implementation of a new management system by live-streaming the event video using the digital virtual reality platform, the Metaverse.
In the virtual space implemented in the Metaverse, executives, employees, and citizens actively participated in the event through various experiences such as a new vision and mission quiz, visiting the KOSHA promotional hall, online chatting, and signing the guestbook.
In his commemorative speech, Chairman An Jong-ju emphasized, "KOSHA will practice talent-centered responsible management, field-centered innovative management, and customer-centered value management together with labor and management," and added, "We will leap forward as a comprehensive safety and health service specialized institution working with the public."
