[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] The stalking case involving Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon has been transferred to the Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.


On the 8th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that the case, which was being investigated by the Suseo Police Station in Seoul, has been transferred to the Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit, which is investigating the minister's residential intrusion case, to be investigated together.


Kim, a reporter affiliated with The Thamsa, was accused of violating the Stalking Punishment Act for following Minister Han by car as he was leaving work last September. The Suseo Police Station in Seoul summoned Kim for questioning on the 4th of last month and conducted an investigation, including voluntarily receiving and analyzing his mobile phone.


Meanwhile, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency is also investigating the residential intrusion case at Minister Han's home, which was transferred from the Suseo Police Station. The day before, they conducted a search and seizure at The Thamsa's office in Byeollae-dong, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi Province, and at the home of co-CEO Kang Jin-gu.
