[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Mokpo Maritime Police Station announced on the 8th that it conducted safety management inspections at the exclusive pier and police substation sites to prevent maritime safety accidents during the winter season.


On the afternoon of the 6th, Lee Jongwook, Chief of Mokpo Maritime Police Station, visited the Mokpo Maritime Police exclusive pier to check the mandatory safety accident compliance of the patrol vessel staff and held a meeting to prevent accidents during the winter season.


He then toured patrol vessels and the Pollution Control Support Center to check ▲work uniforms, protective gear, and safety devices ▲field supervisor task compliance ▲establishment of manuals for major accident preparedness and response ▲and compliance with legally mandated safety and health education.


Additionally, on the 7th, Chief Lee visited Heuksan Police Substation and Hongdo Branch Office to assess safety management conditions for vulnerable waters and multi-use vessels, and inspected the construction site of the Heuksando Port Maritime Police exclusive pier, sequentially checking coastal waters and safety management facilities.


Lee Jongwook, Chief of Mokpo Maritime Police Station, stated, “We will continuously inspect, identify, and improve harmful and hazardous factors of maritime safety accidents that could lead to serious incidents.”
