"Medium to Large OLED Market Over 10 Inches to Triple in 5 Years"

Market research firm UBI Research announced this analysis on the 8th. Shipments are expected to increase from 26.1 million units this year to 69.5 million units by 2027.

It is expected that the TV OLED market will lead the medium-to-large OLED market until 2027. The market is projected to grow at an average annual rate of 11.2%. In 2027, a total of 14.8 million units are expected to be shipped, generating sales of $9.18 billion (approximately 12.134 trillion KRW). This accounts for 62.8% of the total medium-to-large OLED sales in 2027.

IT OLED markets such as laptops, tablet PCs, and monitors, which are gaining attention as new growth areas beyond TVs, are also expected to gradually open from 2024. The laptop OLED market is expected to lead this segment, with shipments projected to reach 19.7 million units in 2027 at an average annual growth rate of 22.9%.

The tablet PC market also deserves attention. Apple's iPad OLED is expected to be officially launched in 2024, which will expand the tablet PC OLED market. Tablet PC OLED shipments are expected to be 2 million units next year, increasing to 7.2 million units in 2024 and 23.3 million units in 2027. The estimated average annual growth rate from next year is as high as 85.7%.

UBI Research also forecasts that the automotive OLED market will record an average annual growth rate of 54.7% starting this year.
