Operated by 'Dongbaek Spring County Xi'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] CareDoc announced on the 8th that it will operate a 'Senior Life Care Service Test Bed' at Dongbaek Spring County Xi, the largest silver residential facility in Korea, to provide specialized care services optimized for the daily lives of the elderly.
CareDoc started as a nursing facility search service and officially launched its caregiver matching platform in 2020. Recently, it has sequentially launched services such as daily care (household support) and visiting rehabilitation exercise. The company explained that this senior life care test bed is a prelude to a full-scale leap from a care platform to a life care platform.
Dongbaek Spring County Xi, where CareDoc's test bed is operated, signed a business agreement (MOU) with CareDoc in June and provides premium care services to residents. The complex has a center director who is a former senior nurse with 20 years of experience on site, and through internal training courses, dedicated care coordinators with a high understanding of senior care and visiting rehabilitation exercise experts are assigned to provide related services.
Classes for physical and emotional management of the elderly are also conducted. Small group education and communities by disease type are planned to help residents feel emotional stability through interaction, and an exercise program called 'Morning Exercise' is held to help them lead a lively life. In addition, special lectures by experts in various fields such as health, exercise, daily law, and finance are opened to support monthly literacy education.
Based on the results of this test bed, CareDoc plans to expand and disseminate services mainly to major senior residential facilities in Korea. Kim Mi-kyung, head of the CareDoc Care Center, said, "Based on the senior care expertise and know-how accumulated over many years, CareDoc is laying the foundation to expand senior life care and home care services in connection with major senior welfare housing in Korea," adding, "We are focusing all efforts on building a senior welfare system within senior residential facilities through field-centered services that continuously collect and improve opinions from the elderly, rather than theoretical approaches."
