[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Korea Philip Morris announced on the 8th that it has been selected as the award-winning company for two consecutive years in the 'Creativity and Innovation' category of the 9th CSV Porter Award project hosted by the Korea Institute for Industrial Policy Studies.

The CSV Porter Award was established in 2014 by the Korea Institute for Industrial Policy Studies to discover companies and organizations that lead a sustainable society through shared value creation activities and contribute to social value creation. Michael Porter, the founder of the CSV theory and a professor at Harvard Business School, directly participates in the final evaluation.

Korea Philip Morris, which launched IQOS, the first heated tobacco product in Korea that heats without burning, in 2017, continued its innovation in the non-combustible product sector by releasing the next-generation heated tobacco device, the 'IQOS Iluma Series,' last month. Korea Philip Morris's Yangsan factory is taking the lead in realizing a 'smoke-free future' by fully producing 'Terea,' the exclusive tobacco product for IQOS Iluma. The Yangsan factory not only produces and supplies all Terea products sold in Korea but also exports them overseas.

Baek Young-jae, CEO of Korea Philip Morris, said, "We will continue our efforts to create shared value, such as improving public health, by providing better alternatives to adult smokers through continuous innovation."
