Formation of Local Volunteer Group 'Bike Patrol' Led by Mannaplus Gwangmyeong Affiliate Headquarters
Manna Corporation's delivery agency brand Manna Plus Gwangmyeong affiliate headquarters' 'Bike Patrol' participated in the 'Hope Lunchbox' support project for local children and adolescents.
'Hope Lunchbox' is a project in which the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association and the Gwangmyeong City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center collaborate with 14 base institutions (schools, community welfare centers, local children's centers, etc.) within Gwangmyeong City to provide nutritious lunchboxes daily for 20 weeks to 125 children and adolescents at risk of food insecurity.
The 'Bike Patrol' is a group voluntarily formed by 86 delivery workers in Gwangmyeong City, centered around the Manna Plus Gwangmyeong affiliate headquarters, aiming to carry out sharing and volunteer activities for local residents. They are making various efforts to spread a culture of volunteering within the delivery industry and encourage continuous activities to dispel existing prejudices against delivery workers.
A Manna Plus representative stated, "The Bike Patrol, composed of Manna Plus delivery workers in Gwangmyeong City, aims for 'warm volunteer activities.' We plan to actively support activities that have a positive influence on the community and expand ESG management activities that fulfill the headquarters' social responsibilities."
Meanwhile, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association achieved 1 million cumulative donors just eight days after the East Coast wildfire in March, and on the 1st, Kakao's social contribution platform 'Kakao Together' announced that it won the '2022 Kakao Together Best Award.'
