CU Box signs MOU for children's communication platform project applying Nol-it and AI facial recognition

AI facial recognition specialist CUBox announced on the 30th of last month that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Nol-it Co., Ltd., which operates the early childhood education channel Dani Yuchiwon, for a joint project on a child-exclusive social platform applying AI facial recognition.

Nol-it provides online communication services targeting children aged 6 to 10. Therefore, protecting children from harmful environments is of utmost importance, and CUBox's AI facial recognition technology can easily address this issue. Unexpected situations such as communication partners changing without prior notice or the use of deepfakes may occur, exposing children to harmful environments. CUBox’s AI algorithm verifies communication partners in real time to prevent accidents that could arise unexpectedly.

In November 2021, CUBox was recognized as a top AI technology company by ranking first globally in five categories in the Face Recognition Vendor Test (FRVT) conducted by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Additionally, CUBox was the first in Korea to receive biometric presentation attack detection certification (ISO/IEC 30107-3) and holds the most references in the financial sector among domestic AI facial recognition companies.

Han Se-jin, head of CUBox’s Future Business Team, stated, “This business partnership can serve as a good example of protecting users in real time on live communication platforms,” and added, “Starting from this partnership, we will actively integrate CUBox’s AI facial recognition technology into daily services closely related to our lives, such as delivery, transportation, and reservations.”
