[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] BGF Retail announced on the 7th that it has published the 'Child Safety White Paper,' which contains the achievements of activities to strengthen the local community child safety network over the past five years for the first time this year.
The Child Safety White Paper covers BGF Retail's footsteps toward creating a safe and happy world for children, comprehensively including major child-friendly management activities and achievements such as the 'iCU' program, which started with the missing child protection POS reporting system, as well as statistics.
In the white paper, BGF Retail analyzed major missing child occurrence times, age groups of cases, and reasons for disappearance by comparing the status of domestic and international child safety network establishment, statistics surveyed by government and public institutions, and actual missing child protection reports received at CU stores.
The white paper also includes the achievements and results of activities such as the ▲Child Safety Drawing Contest ▲Child Safety Citizen Award ▲Long-term Missing Child Search Campaign ‘CU SOON,’ which BGF Retail carried out in collaboration with key institutions and organizations such as the National Police Agency, the Child Rights Protection Agency, and local communities to create a safe growth environment for children.
A BGF Retail official said, “We are taking the lead in building child safety infrastructure and have published a white paper covering these achievements, fulfilling our role as a public infrastructure. As a corporate citizen, we will continue to publish the Child Safety White Paper annually and take the lead in fulfilling our social responsibilities.”
