[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyoon] Composer and entrepreneur Don Spike (45, Kim Minsu), who was arrested and indicted on charges of multiple drug use, admitted all charges in court.
Don Spike's lawyer stated on the 6th at the first trial held at the Seoul Northern District Court Criminal Division 13 (Presiding Judge Oh Gwoncheol) that he "fully admits" to the charges of stimulant drugs under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes. Don Spike, dressed in a blue prison uniform, responded calmly to the court's recognition questions and kept his head bowed throughout the approximately 15-minute trial.
Don Spike was prosecuted on charges of purchasing methamphetamine worth about 45 million won in nine instances since the end of last year and using methamphetamine a total of 14 times. He is also charged with giving methamphetamine and ecstasy to others and possessing about 20g of methamphetamine. The 20g of methamphetamine corresponds to approximately 667 doses, based on a typical single dose of 0.03g. The next trial is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. on the 20th.
