[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] On the 6th, Cho Eung-cheon, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, harshly criticized the proposal to draft Han Dong-hoon, Minister of Justice, into the ruling party's presidential election, saying, "That's a bit much."

On the same day, during an appearance on SBS Radio's Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show, when asked about the proposal to draft Minister Han, Cho said, "No matter how urgent it is, having a prosecutor as president and a prosecutor as the ruling party leader?this is not a country that came to power through a military coup in Africa, so what is that?" He added, "I am also a former prosecutor, but that's a bit much."

When asked what kind of ruling party leader would be helpful to the Democratic Party in the next general election, Cho mentioned, "Someone who tries to lead with only their fixed support base and emphasizes law and principles would be perfect."

Regarding Joo Ho-young, the floor leader of the People Power Party, who said, "The ruling party leader should be someone popular among the MZ generation and in the metropolitan area," Cho said, "There is no one among the current candidates who fits that description," adding, "I couldn't help but think why former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok was ousted. He was exactly the person who fit those conditions."

Cho also strongly criticized President Yoon Suk-yeol's comparison of the Cargo Solidarity strike to the North Korean nuclear threat.

Cho said, "Then, is the Cargo Solidarity not part of our people?" and "How can you compare the people to the North Korean nuclear threat? Isn't this giving up on unity?" He added, "Recently, a ruling party spokesperson said to call the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) the 'Minno Union' or 'Minro Union,' apparently referring to the Workers' Party. It seems they had the Workers' Party in mind when saying that," and continued, "If you are the government and ruling party, you should think about unity, and the president, as the head of state, should not act like that. We should be moving toward unity, but constantly emphasizing law and principles is really uncomfortable."

Regarding the safety freight rate system demanded by the Cargo Solidarity, Cho introduced, "When I was the secretary of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee last year, the safety freight rate system of the Cargo Solidarity was continuously problematic, so we commissioned a one-year study to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to identify the issues," adding, "The result was to supplement and strengthen the safety freight rate system."

He said, "After the government changed, they didn't like it, so they just left it alone and neglected it, doing nothing, and now it has come to this," and added, "I don't understand why they see this ideologically and keep labeling one side as an evil group committing sins."
