GH Tightens 'Public Service Discipline and Construction Site Safety' Ahead of Year-End Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) is stepping up efforts to establish public service discipline and conduct safety inspections at construction sites ahead of the year-end.

GH announced that starting from the 5th of this month, it will carry out a special inspection for three weeks targeting employees' duty discipline and the prevention of safety accidents at construction sites.

The main inspection targets include ▲ acts that damage the dignity of public officials and laxity in duty discipline during the year-end and New Year period ▲ the three major misconducts (acceptance of money or entertainment, drunk driving, sexual misconduct) ▲ violations of the Anti-Graft Act and the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, among others.

GH will also focus on inspecting facilities at construction sites that pose a risk of safety accidents and whether there are any practices of ignoring safety.

Furthermore, GH will actively promote the prevention of habitual corruption through focused reporting periods aimed at enhancing employee integrity education and encouraging anonymous reporting of irregularities.

Jang Dong-woo, GH's Standing Auditor, emphasized, "As we approach the year-end and New Year, a time when public service discipline can become lax, we will strive to prevent habitual corruption, foster a clean public service culture, and prevent various safety accidents at construction sites."
