Korea Publication Industry Promotion Agency, This Is What We Did This Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The Korea Publication Culture Industry Promotion Agency will hold the '2022 Reading Culture Project Results Sharing Meeting' at 10 a.m. on the 6th at the community house 'Masil' in Jung-gu, Seoul. It will be simultaneously broadcast live via the Promotion Agency's YouTube streaming.


At the results sharing meeting, the achievements of 15 out of the 20 projects currently being carried out by the Promotion Agency will be announced.


In Part 1, the achievements of major projects targeting infants and adolescents will be presented. Each person in charge of the five projects?'Bookstart', 'Reading Culture Camp', 'Youth Book Talk', 'Youth Reading Debate Festival', and 'Book Experience Bus'?will give presentations.


In Part 2, the achievements of major projects targeting adults and seniors will be presented. Each person in charge of the five projects?'Year of Youth Books', 'Support for Reading Club Activities', 'Support for Military Reading Activation', 'Support for Reading Activities in Correctional Facilities', and 'Book Reading Cultural Volunteer Group'?will give presentations.


In Part 3, the achievements of major projects targeting local governments, libraries, bookstores, and workplaces will be presented. Each person in charge of the five projects?'Korea Reading Festival', 'Regional Reading Festival', 'Late Night Bookstore', 'Reading Academy', and 'Certification for Excellent Reading Management Workplaces'?will give presentations. After each part, there will also be a discussion session for Q&A.


A representative from the Promotion Agency stated, "Despite many difficulties in carrying out projects due to the persistent COVID-19 pandemic this year, thanks to the passion and efforts of each person in charge, most projects have reached the successful final stages," and added, "Since this results sharing meeting is a gathering of project practitioners, we hope it will be a meaningful time to share opinions on the current status and development direction of reading culture projects."
