[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Students of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology received the Excellent Paper Presentation Award at the "2022 Korean Industrial Convergence Society Fall Conference" held over two days from the 24th to the 25th at the Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel in Changwon.
The conference hosted by the Korean Industrial Convergence Society featured about 120 papers, including general papers and special sessions in the field of convergence industry forums.
Twelve teams of students from Dong-Eui Institute of Technology participated in the conference, and Jeong Dae-song from the Department of Automotive and Lee Jong-chan from the Department of Mechanical Design each received the Excellent Paper Presentation Award.
Jeong Dae-song from the Department of Automotive presented on the topic "A Study on Escape Methods When Door Handles Malfunction," discussing the lifeline of escaping when a door handle breaks in a restroom, earning him the Excellent Paper Presentation Award.
Lee Jong-chan from the Department of Mechanical Design presented "A Study on a Device for Air Conditioner Energy Saving."
The research includes an idea about the structure and principle of an air conditioner outdoor unit, operating a pump powered by electricity generated from solar panels to spray cooling water inside a cooling tank onto the outdoor unit, thereby lowering the temperature.
Professor Kim Man-ho, advisor from the Department of Automotive, said, "I believe many students felt that they just need confidence when presenting at this conference," adding, "I take pride in our department as the best automotive department in the southeastern region with a high quality of employment."
