[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] On the morning of the 5th, the 12th day of the Cargo Solidarity general strike, a Cargo Solidarity union member who threatened a non-union worker moving cargo at a cement company in Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam, was taken into police custody.


According to the police, a Cargo Solidarity union member who was holding a tent protest in front of the company spotted the vehicle of a non-union worker, Mr. A, entering the company.


Mr. A claimed that there was an argument with the union member who protested, "Why did the car come in?" and that union member Mr. B used abusive language and threats such as "Don't come in front of us," and "Don't stand out during the strike."


Mr. B was taken to a nearby police station by the police who responded to the report.


Upon hearing the news, about 60 union members, including the head of the Cargo Solidarity Geoje-Tongyeong branch, gathered in front of the cement company around 11:15 a.m. to protest.
