[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] As the cold weather has begun in earnest recently, it has been found that consumers are increasingly seeking heating appliances.

According to Lotte Hi-Mart on the 5th, sales of heating appliances from the 1st to the 4th of this month increased by 190% compared to the previous week. By item, heater sales rose by 310%, and electric heating pads increased by 75%.

Lotte Hi-Mart is holding a winter appliance discount event until the 19th. Popular brand products such as heaters and humidifiers from Shinil, Hanil, and Winix can be purchased at discounts of up to 40%. Electric heating pad event products are available in limited quantities with discounts of up to 45%.

A Lotte Hi-Mart official said, “As the temperature dropped sharply below freezing, more consumers are rushing to purchase warm heating appliances,” adding, “Heating appliances that can be used safely and comfortably in various spaces such as homes, offices, and outdoors are gaining popularity.”
