[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] KT Skylife announced on the 5th that it held a movie viewing event with people with developmental disabilities as part of its second half 'Cultural Experience Event for People with Disabilities.'

At the event held on the 1st at Megabox in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, where the Skylife headquarters is located, participants formed teams of volunteers and people with disabilities to watch the movie "Apkujeong." About 140 people participated in the event, including seven disability organizations, social workers, and Skylife executives and employees.

Following the first half cultural experience event for people with disabilities held in May with the Seodaemun Disabled Welfare Facilities Association, Skylife also held the second half event in December.

In addition to the 'Love Antenna' program that supports free lifetime viewing of UHD TV and satellite broadcasting at welfare facilities in remote mountainous areas, Skylife is also running the 'Move with Skylife' program, which provides customized wheelchairs to people with severe disabilities using proceeds from the sale of discarded broadcasting equipment, and the 'SOS Scholarship Support Project,' which supports the independence of youths who are required to leave protective facilities upon turning 18.

Kim Cheol-soo, CEO of Skylife, said, "Going forward, Skylife will continue to promote various social contribution projects that provide practical help so that marginalized groups in welfare blind spots can live together in society."
