Issuance of 10 Types with Unique Identification Numbers
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Emart24 announced on the 5th that starting from the 18th of this month, it will partner with Ground X to sell membership Wondungi non-fungible tokens (NFTs) through a whitelist sale (pre-order).
Emart24 will hold a pre-drop event for a total of 20,000 Planet NFTs on the 9th and 10th. Emart24 will give away Planet NFTs, which are essential for purchasing Wondungi NFTs, free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis to KakaoTalk Plus Friends and customers visiting the NFT pop-up store (Emart24 Hwaseong branch) in Samcheong-dong.
KakaoTalk Plus Friends will receive a first-come, first-served notification message about the Planet NFT giveaway on the 9th, and by clicking to receive the airdrop, the Planet NFT will be delivered to their digital asset wallet, Klip. On the 10th, customers can scan the QR code for the Planet NFT airdrop inside the NFT pop-up store to receive the Planet NFT. Each person can receive only one Planet NFT, and customers holding the Planet NFT by the 14th will have the right to purchase Wondungi NFTs sold on Klip Drops starting from the 18th.
The Wondungi NFTs will be issued as 7,272 unique numbered NFTs and can be purchased for 19,000 KRW each. Wondungi NFTs dressed in costumes such as triangular kimbap, cup ramen, wine, and coffee include regular discount benefits corresponding to each product. For example, customers who purchase the Coffee Wondungi NFT will receive three free espresso Americanos every month.
The membership benefits of the NFTs will be maintained for one year. However, since the Planet NFT, which is a purchase condition for the Wondungi NFT, is given one per person, only one type of Wondungi NFT can be purchased. Customers who want other types of Wondungi NFTs afterward can trade them in the market within Klip Drops.
An Emart24 official said, “We hope customers can easily experience NFTs while enjoying benefits through NFTs combined with membership perks,” adding, “We expect that forming fandoms around the Wondungi character and encouraging store visits will ultimately increase customer loyalty to the brand and lead to increased sales at franchise stores.”
