Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam Province will conduct the 'Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign' until January 31 next year.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam is conducting the "Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign" for a total of 62 days from December 1st to January 31st next year under the year-end slogan "Sustainable Gyeongnam Sharing Together" to wrap up 2022.
The city plans to create a sharing atmosphere starting with the "All Employees' Voluntary Fundraising for Love Fruit" and actively promote the Love Fruit campaign to citizens. During the campaign period, donation boxes and QR code banners will be placed in the civil service offices of the city and district offices, as well as in the eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers, allowing citizens to easily and conveniently participate in sharing activities.
The city will also operate a reception desk for donations of goods to help have a warm winter. Individuals, organizations, or companies wishing to participate in donations of money or goods for the underprivileged can contact the Changwon City Social Welfare Division Hope Welfare Team or the social welfare divisions of each district office.
The collected donations and goods will be allocated as resources needed for supporting goods for the underprivileged, improving residential environments, medical expenses, and disease prevention. Donations are also eligible for year-end tax deduction benefits according to the Income Tax Act.
Earlier, on the 1st, Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, attended the launch ceremony of the Love Temperature Tower and urged citizens to participate so that the city's fundraising target could be achieved.
Mayor Hong said, "Neighbors around us who are going through a difficult year-end and New Year period now need the interest and sharing of the local community and citizens," and added, "I hope that many citizens will show interest and participate in this Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign to create a warm Changwon."
