[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] 'Yumi's Cells' Bobby and Yumi will reunite in theaters this December. Actor Park Jin-young (29) shared his thoughts on starring in a film released this month alongside Kim Go-eun.

On the afternoon of the 2nd, at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Park Jin-young said, "My senior at the agency, Kim Go-eun, said she would buy tickets and watch 'Christmas Carol' in theaters," adding, "'Hero' is also highly anticipated."

Park Jin-young plays twin brothers Il-woo and Wol-woo in 'Christmas Carol' (directed by Kim Sung-soo), which opens on the 7th. He flawlessly portrays both roles. The film is an action thriller where the older twin Il-woo enters a juvenile detention center to seek revenge after his younger twin Wol-woo dies, engaging in brutal confrontations with juvenile gangs.

Earlier, Park Jin-young stirred women's hearts by playing the popular marketing team deputy Yoo Bobby in the OTT series 'Yumi's Cells 2,' released last June on TVING. Especially, the kissing scene in the car with Kim Go-eun, who played Yumi, heated up social media (SNS) and became a hot topic.

Park Jin-young recalled, "We filmed the kissing scene for a long time, so I asked the director, 'Is it okay to shoot this much?' While acting, I wondered, 'Why don't you cut?' I put a lot of effort into the kiss," laughing. He added, "I didn't expect such a strong reaction. I hoped Bobby and Yumi would really look like they were in love." He said, "We shot it like an action scene to make it look as beautiful as possible. We even calculated the angles to create a beautiful scene."

Regarding the nickname "Kiss Master," he laughed, saying, "The director and senior Kim Go-eun made that happen." He nodded, adding, "It turned out beautifully. There was a reason we filmed it for so long."

Kim Go-eun's film 'Hero' is set to be released on the 21st. Online, fans are excited about Bobby and Yumi meeting in theaters this month. Park Jin-young said, "'Hero' is also highly anticipated. I teared up when the song played in the trailer. I'm looking forward to seeing how well Kim Go-eun did. I will definitely go watch it," adding, "Senior Go-eun promised to buy a ticket and watch it in theaters." He then requested, "Please make sure to include this part in the article."

Park Jin-young continued, "I hope GOT7 members come to watch it too. They promised to buy tickets and watch it in theaters. It would be great if they tell me via chat which theater and what time they watched it. Please send selfies holding the pamphlet as well," urging that this be included in the article. He added, "Since it might not be them watching, they must have a selfie. Especially (Park) Jaebeom hyung watched it with me for a long time, so I think he'll definitely watch the movie," laughing.

"I still keep in close contact with the GOT7 members and maintain a strong bond. When I called to invite them to the VIP screening of 'Christmas Carol,' they were all overseas. We're talking about group activities too, so I think we'll know more soon. Recently, I recorded a solo album. It's nerve-wracking to get back to my main work after a long time. Maybe I can show it at a fan meeting. I want to work hard on both music and acting."
