[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim I-gang) installed a Christmas celebration sculpture wishing for residents' hopes and well-being at the floor fountain plaza of Uncheon Reservoir on the 1st and held a lighting ceremony.
According to Seo-gu on the 2nd, the event was held with about 50 attendees including Seo-gu Mayor Kim I-gang, members of the Seo-gu Christian Council (President Kang Min-su), and residents, proceeding in the order of opening declaration, congratulatory praise, congratulatory remarks, and lighting ceremony.
The installed sculpture is a 10-meter-high large tree loved by people of all ages, which will provide another source of fun and memories to tourists and residents visiting Uncheon Lake, greatly enhancing the Christmas festival atmosphere.
Seo-gu also created landscape lighting and a photo zone around the sculpture so visitors to Uncheon Lake Park can take wonderful photos.
The installed sculpture will be on display until the end of this month.
A Seo-gu official said, “Through this lighting ceremony, we wish for the excitement of Christmas along with the residents' well-being and a hopeful new year.”
