[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] BTS member J-Hope has been named in the US Rolling Stone's 'Best Albums of the Year' alongside NewJeans.

On the 1st (local time), Rolling Stone, a leading American music magazine, announced the 'Top 100 Best Albums of the Year,' where J-Hope's solo album Jack In The Box and NewJeans' debut album New Jeans were ranked 9th and 46th respectively.

Rolling Stone introduced Jack In The Box by saying, "J-Hope is the first BTS member to release a solo album, and he raised the bar from the start with Jack In The Box. The album begins with the story of Pandora's box, and J-Hope derived his stage name from the 'hope' that remained last in Pandora's box." They added about J-Hope's successful first solo album, "Fans can be confident that they will not be disappointed with his future musical activities."

Additionally, Rolling Stone praised NewJeans' debut album New Jeans, stating, "There is no doubt that NewJeans caused a sensation this year with their debut album. In less than 13 minutes, the four tracks each feature unique sounds and fresh visual elements." They continued, "NewJeans has a solid foundation to evolve and grow alongside the latest K-pop," expressing high expectations for NewJeans' future trajectory after demonstrating global impact with their debut album.
