RowieLab Korea 'Metaverse Platform' Wins Corporate Growth Award at 2022 Art Sector Growth Company Investment Competition
The ‘Metaverse,’ which implements virtual spaces as if they were real, helps to further expand the worldview of products, companies, and brands. Following last year, it continues to emerge as one of the hottest keywords this year, with technologies related to metaverse implementation receiving steady attention.
Among them, Rowy Lab Korea (CEO Jang Taewon) has introduced a ‘photorealistic metaverse platform’ that enables corporate branding and product sales within the metaverse by implementing products as if they were real. Unlike typical game-style graphics or digital twin production, it shows spatial structures in 3D, creating a newly configured space.
Rowy Lab provides services regardless of whether the space is real, scanned, or unreal, created through 3D drawing methods, enabling realistic metaverse production. Above all, in Rowy Lab’s photorealistic metaverse, non-developers can freely insert necessary features such as images, videos, product sales functions, reservation functions, and games. It is characterized by the ability to create online content in a more innovative way.
It is realized as a metaverse where actual or virtual spaces can be experienced more realistically, and through technology published online with just one click, 3D autonomously creates metaverse exhibition spaces without developers, allowing space tours as well. By adding experiences to the space, it is overcoming the existing limitations of the metaverse and gaining recognition for its technological excellence and innovation.
Based on its technological capabilities, Rowy Lab Korea has secured contracts with major corporations such as Samsung Electronics (Samsung Digital Plaza), Hoban Construction, LG Household & Health Care, CJ Feed&Care, and Grand Hyatt Hotel since 2019. Additionally, it is currently conducting metaverse production and operation contracts with government agencies such as the Korea Tourism Organization, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the first half of this year, it was selected for the ‘2022 Growth Enterprise Business Leap Support Project in the Arts Sector,’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized by the Arts Management Support Center, and conducted in cooperation with Toosun Campus. Recently, it also won the Corporate Growth Award at an investment attraction competition.
Furthermore, it has completed seed investments from Plan H Ventures, Hana Securities, and IXV Lab, and achieved remarkable success by being selected for the ‘Innovative Enterprise National Representative 1000’ and the ‘TIPS Program’ this year. Additionally, it plans to enter the North American market through an MOU and joint venture establishment with 3D LISTING, the largest real estate listing company in North America.
A representative of Rowy Lab Korea stated, “Our purpose and goal is to overcome the limitations of visible photo images and provide users with experiences in the space to increase satisfaction.” They added, “We will continue to collaborate with various companies and brands to provide realistic and special experiences on the photorealistic metaverse platform.”
