Officials from the Korea Racing Authority Busan·Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters and the elderly residents of Noksan-dong who received glasses are taking a group commemorative photo.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Korea Racing Authority Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters held a 'Love Glasses' delivery ceremony on the 1st at the Noksan-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Gangseo-gu, Busan, to provide glasses to vulnerable elderly people.
The Korea Racing Authority Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters supported about 5 million KRW for the cost of fitting glasses for vulnerable elderly people in Noksan-dong. The funds were delivered to the Nakdong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center and used to fit glasses for 81 elderly people.
The headquarters individually measured the eyesight of 81 recipients last month and made glasses, delivering half of them directly at the ceremony. The remaining half is scheduled to be delivered around December 5.
Song Dae-young, head of the Korea Racing Authority Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, said, "Many people are experiencing inconvenience in daily life due to deteriorating eyesight, and I hope this can be of some help to those elderly people. We will continue to carefully look after various areas in the region and strive to help more people."
This year, the Korea Racing Authority Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters contributed to the local community through various social contribution activities such as supporting the independence of children aging out of care, supporting family trips for people with developmental disabilities, and supporting social enterprise startups.
