[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 2nd that they will open the new technology convergence content exhibition hall 'Vivid Space' in collaboration with Incheon International Airport Corporation.


Vivid Space, meaning a vivid and lively cultural space, was planned to showcase K-content transformed into newer and more attractive forms through new technologies to the world. Located at the transportation center of Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport, which sees over 9.12 million domestic and international travelers annually, it will provide an opportunity for people worldwide to experience K-content.


Spanning a total area of 396㎡, Vivid Space consists of △ 'Space 1,' mainly exhibiting immersive content △ 'Space 2,' an experiential area where visitors complete the content through participation △ and the 'K-Content Promotion Hall,' displaying content from various fields.


The representative work in Space 1 is 'Twilight.' It uses projection mapping technology to depict Korea's beautiful nature, giving visitors the impression of actually walking on a beach. In Space 2, the experiential content 'Dream Flight' is presented.


Visitors can experience flying an airplane they have colored themselves against the backdrop of Incheon International Airport. The K-Content Promotion Hall offers viewing and experiential programs in the form of videos, photos, and VR (virtual reality) across various genres such as broadcasting, music, and games. It operates from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and admission is free for all visitors.

The Korea Creative Content Agency plans to actively promote works by domestic new technology convergence content companies. As part of this, an exhibition showcasing the achievements of the new technology convergence content production support project will be held from today until the 31st.


The participating works include △ Easywith's 'Breath of Forest' △ Design Silverfish's 'Seoul Story' and three others △ Three Frame's 'Goddess of Time, Today' △ Almaroco's 'Slick: Lounge' △ XOBiz's 'Feast of the Gods' △ Space Elvis's 'Avatar K-Star Entertainment' △ Live K's 'Meta Space K' △ Bauer Lab's 'Metaverse Theme Land' △ SMG Entertainment's 'XR (Extended Reality) Riding Theater' △ Conlab Company's 'Ryan Holiday Inn Busan' △ Softzen's 'Hello Jadoo VR,' among others.


Cho Hyunrae, president of the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, "Incheon International Airport is the first gateway where people worldwide encounter Korea, making it the optimal space to promote excellent K-content and offer diverse experiences." He added, "We will cooperate with Incheon Airport to successfully operate 'Vivid Space,' discover and support multifaceted new technology convergence content, and strive to spread the charm of K-content globally."
