Hamyang-gun Holds This Year's Buyer Invitation Consultation for Agricultural Specialties... Establishing a Foothold for Entry into the Seoul Metropolitan Market

A Platform for Exchange Between NH Trade, Emart, and Local Businesses in the Distribution Industry

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the afternoon of December 1, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held the '2022 Agricultural Specialty Products Buyer Invitation Consultation Meeting' at the Hamyang-gun Agricultural Technology Center conference room, inviting purchasing managers from large distribution companies.

Hosted by Hamyang-gun and the Gun Nonghyup Cooperative Joint Business Corporation, this consultation meeting was planned to create an exchange platform between distribution companies and local businesses, promote direct transactions of Hamyang's excellent agricultural food products, and establish a foothold for entering the metropolitan market.

Representatives from major domestic distribution companies such as Changrak Nongsan, NH Trade, E-Mart, and the Agricultural Products Purchasing Department of Nonghyup Economic Holdings participated in the consultation meeting to directly verify Hamyang's outstanding agricultural food products and conduct distribution consultations with companies.

The county showcased onions and chestnuts from the Hamyang Nonghyup Production Area Distribution Center, honey, black onion extract, onion extract, dried vegetables from Macheon Nonghyup, apples from Anui Nonghyup and Anui Apple Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, mushrooms from Jirisan Mushroom Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, and Min-saeng peaches unique to the Anui Seolli Peach Farming Group.

Additionally, agricultural processed products such as Jin Engine Food Bugak, Herb & Tea infusion tea, White Sunshine Tteokbokki, Wooriga soups and cold noodles, Hamyang San-yangsam processed products, purple sweet potato processed products from Jisan Food, lotus leaf rice and mountain vegetable rice from Hwashin Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, and Ggum Cham Farm's beetle larvae and grain powder received favorable reviews.

The county expects that by introducing various agricultural specialty products of Hamyang and actively conducting marketing activities at this buyer invitation consultation meeting, it will create a breakthrough for entering the metropolitan market, contributing to increased farm income and revitalization of the local economy.

County Governor Jin Byeong-young said, “We will continue to provide opportunities for exchange to establish a win-win model between local businesses and distribution companies,” and added, “Through this consultation meeting, we expect Hamyang-gun’s excellent agricultural food products to become a catalyst for entering the metropolitan market and to invigorate Hamyang-gun’s agricultural food industry.”
