Boseong-gun Successfully Concludes the 22nd Farmers' Unity Festival

Agricultural Community Harmony Festival, Exhibition of Excellent Agricultural and Specialty Products, Operation of Agricultural Technology Dissemination Achievements and Promotion Center, etc.

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Jeollanam-do Boseong-gun announced that on the 30th, it held the ‘22nd Farmers' Unity Festival’ at Boseong Dahyang Gymnasium with over 1,200 farmers and others.

This Farmers' Unity Festival was held for the first time in four years due to COVID-19 and was jointly organized by seven agricultural organizations: ▲Boseong-gun Federation of Rural Leaders ▲Boseong-gun Federation of Life Improvement Associations ▲Boseong-gun Farmers' Association ▲Boseong-gun Federation of Agricultural Entrepreneurs ▲(Corporation) Boseong-gun Federation of Rice Farmers ▲(Corporation) Boseong-gun 4-H Headquarters ▲4-H Boseong-gun Federation. This year, the president of the Boseong-gun Federation of Rural Leaders, Jeong Byeong-jin, served as the festival chairman.

Despite difficult conditions such as heatwaves and droughts, the Farmers' Unity Festival, held biennially, brings together hardworking farmers who have finished harvesting to boost morale and promote harmony among fellow farmers.

The event began with a traditional Pungmul performance as a pre-ceremony, followed by an opening ceremony, congratulatory performances, group games, and a farmers' harmony festival. Additionally, seven exhibition and promotion halls were operated, including displays of excellent local agricultural and specialty products, agricultural technology dissemination achievements, and promotional booths, providing a variety of attractions.

The excellent agricultural and specialty products sales booth received great responses from local consumers.

Jeong Byeong-jin, chairman of the Farmers' Unity Festival who successfully led the event, said, “Despite difficult circumstances, agriculture is a foundational industry responsible for the safe food and healthy lives of the people. Farmers should unite in harmony and work together to play a leading role in advancing agriculture.”

Kim Cheol-woo, the governor of Boseong-gun, stated, “Agriculture is the oldest industry among human industries and the most important core industry in our lives. I thank all the farmers who have worked hard this year, and we will continue to implement various policies to support the production of differentiated agricultural and specialty products unique to Boseong.”
