2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo Restaurant and Cafe Operators Publicly Recruited

Limiting All Facility Operators to Suncheon Citizens to Revitalize the Local Economy

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] The Suncheonman International Garden Expo Organizing Committee (Chairman Noh Gwan-gyu) announced that it will publicly recruit operators to provide food and beverage sales services at the garden expo to be held next year.

The publicly recruited food and beverage facilities include 8 restaurants, 8 cafes, 2 snack bars, 6 convenience stores, and food bike operators.

The organizing committee limits eligibility for bidding participation to those with addresses and business locations in Suncheon City to promote the revitalization of the local economy. Additionally, to minimize the burden on operators, only 30% of the proposed rent price based on the appraised rent is reflected, and the sales commission is set at 10%.

During the expo period, food facilities will operate offering simple meals such as baekban (set meals), bunsik (Korean snacks), and jumeokbap (rice balls), as well as sandwiches, coffee, and bakery items. This reflects trends that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders without burden. Furthermore, facilities will be arranged considering major visitor routes for convenience.

Bidders for the restaurant sector must visit the organizing committee in person to submit their bids on Monday, December 19. For cafes and food bike sectors, bids must be submitted in person on Wednesday, December 21. For snack and convenience store sectors, bids can be submitted via the Onbid website by Wednesday, December 21.

The selected operators will take on the responsible role of providing food and beverage sales services at the international event held for seven months from April to October next year.

The organizing committee plans to select operators through a thorough and fair selection process.
